Singer/rapper Wyclef Jean was injured in Haiti Saturday (March 19), on the eve of the country’s presidential runoff vote.
Jean, a Haiti native was shot in the hand in Port-au-Prince when the car he was riding in along rapper Busta Rhymes was attacked according to Boombox.
The former Fugees member saw his bid to become president of Haiti cut short last year due to residency issues, but has remained a strong figure on the political front.
Spokeswoman Cindy Tanenbaum told CNN Wyclef was recovering. “He is doing well,” she said.Nobody else in the vehicle was injured.
